“Bordaduras de um botão” is a literary work
that opens the dialogue between two artistic manifestations: the visual and the
poetic. The motto for this creation was the song “Os seus Botões” by Roberto
Carlos. The work goes beyond the limits of music and intends to seek other
forms of expression that are based either on poems or canvas. It was canvas
fabricated with buttons that emerged first and served as inspiration for the
creation of the poems. Thus the poems were born, mingled and finally merged
with the canvases.
Each poem has a pair of canvases
and, as in a dance, they coexist and merge into the same subject, be it the masculine
and the feminine, the clear and the dark, the real and the imaginary, the
absent and the present or the button and the house, among other manifestations.
Even button of #2 that has four canvases exhibits this alchemy. The poems
present as themes the rescue of creation, the contact with encounters and loved
ones, memories, moments of silence and the contemplation of life, among others!
The poems are composed with lightness and profundity and bring to the surface
some embroidery of the human soul.
En los Bordes de
un Botón es una obra literaria que dialoga dos manifestaciones artísticas: la
visual y la poética. La inspiración para esta creación fue la canción: Los
Botones, de Roberto Carlos. Sin embargo, la obra extrapola los límites de la
canción y busca en los botones otras formas de expresión que unas veces parte
del poema y otras de la tela. Inicialmente, las telas confeccionadas con
botones surgieron y sirvieron de inspiración para la creación de los poemas.
Así, los poemas nacieron, se mezclaron y, por fin, se confundieron con las
telas.
Cada poema posee
un par de telas y, como en una danza, coexisten y se funden en una misma
materia, sea ella: lo masculino y lo femenino, el claro eco oscuro, lo real y
lo imaginario, lo ausente y lo presente, el botón y la casa, entre tantas otras
manifestaciones. Hasta el mismo botón de no2 que posee cuatro telas trae esa alquimia. Los poemas presentan como
tema, el rescate de la creación, el contacto con los encuentros y amores, las
memorias, los momentos de silencio, la contemplación de la vida, entre otros.
Los poemas son compuestos con levedad y profundidad, trayendo a flote algunos
bordados del alma humana.
Gloomy Slope / La Cuesta

This is how, in Canto II, Verse 40 of Dante
Alighieri's Divine Comedy, Dante adjective the hill through which he must climb
to leave Hell. In this urban novel, likewise Dante, the character-writer
Antônio Martim, in the skin of Ângelo, 23, is thrown to the hell of the streets
and must overcome obstacles of degradation and infamy to return to society,
where his Beatrice is waiting for him. On its gloomy slope, Ângelo finds
Pernambuco, Maria Quanta, Casquinha, Torrado and Santinha, a family of
wanderers who live on the street in an infested destination and in misery.
Together, they visit streets and hostels in various cities in the countryside
of São Paulo, and Ângelo finds, in indigent companionship, enormous pleasure in
the miserable life of the homeless wanderer. Social exclusion satisfies and
frightens him. The streets draw him like a spell.
Cuesta obscura. Es así que, en el verso 40
del Canto II de La Divina Comedia, de Dante Alighieri, el personaje Dante
adjetiva la colina por la cual tiene que subir en la salida del infierno. En
este romance urbano, así como Dante, el personaje-escritor Antônio Martim, en
la piel de Ângelo, el 23, se echa en el infierno de las calles y debe superar
obstáculos de degradación e infamia para volver a la sociedad, donde está su Beatriz.
En su cuesta obscura, Ângelo encuentra a Pernambuco, María Quanta, Casquinha,
Torrado y Santinha, una familia de vagabundos sin hogar solidaria en el destino
infesto y la miseria. Juntos van a calles y albergues en diversas ciudades en
el interior de Sao Paulo y Ângelo descubre, en el compañerismo indigente, un
enorme placer en la vida desgraciada de vagabundo sin techo. La exclusión
social lo satisface y asusta. Las calles lo atraen como hechizo.
About the
author: Creso
Balduino was born in Carmo do Parnaíba, State of Minas Gerais, and has lived in
Brasilia since 1971. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and is a
public servant with the Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts. He divides his
time between numbers and letters. As a duty, he is a novelist author of
Tapuiaçu (Revan, 1999), O Verso do Ser (Revan, 2007) and the unpublished A
Tenebrosa Encosta. / Creso Balduíno nació en Carmo do Paranaíba-MG y vive en Brasilia desde 1971.
Licenciado en filosofía y servidor público del Tribunal de Cuentas de la Unión,
divide su tiempo entre los números y las letras. Como oficio, es un novelista,
autor de Tapuiaçu (Revan, 1999), El Verso del Ser (Revan, 2007) y el inédito La
Cuesta Obscura.

book that explores the truth behind the creation of men using archeological,
pictorial and historical evidences, including the Bible and Hindu texts, and
relating them to Sumerian Scriptures, according to which we would have been
created by extraterrestrial beings called Anunnaki. The protagonist, Robert
Martel, is chosen by the Anunnaki to reveal to humankind that the Earth is
about to be reclaimed by their creators, and that humans are now facing utter
extinction.

ficción adulta, que explora la verdadera creación del hombre, a partir de
evidencias arqueológicas, pictóricas y históricas, incluso la Biblia y textos
hindúes, remitiendo a las escrituras sumarias, según las cuales habríamos sido
creados por seres extraterrestres llamados Anunnakis para revelar a la
humanidad que la Tierra está a punto de se reanuda por parte de sus
criadores, habiendo el riesgo de extinción total de la raza humana.

About the
author: Luci Guimarães Watanabe was Born in
Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, on May 3rd, in the 1940s. From early on, she was
surrounded by real-life characters – Silly Joe, Fresh-water Goiter and Noodles –
and people who told tales, which she often heard with much suspense. She fell
in love with stories and, one fine day, started writing them. Today, she has
over 20 books published for children, having sold two million copies.
